It’s not a surprise that the winner of the “The Voice Kids” Philippines is Lyca Gairanod. She was proclaimed the first-ever grand champion  the grand finals night held on Sunday, July 27, 2014 at the Resorts World Manila, Newport City, Pasay City.

The 9 year old kid from Cavite sang sang “Basang-basa sa Ulan” together with Aegis band on the celebrity round.

In our new office, I don't find any near Starbuck or coffee house.Good thing, there's a  Mcdonald near the in our building. It sells McCafe coffee.

You can buy the coffee as is or convert the drinks of the meal to coffee. It comes along with free sugar and creamer.

By the way, McCafe is coffee-house style drink and food chain. freshly made coffee or cool smoothies, rich shakes or a tasty Frappé as well strong espresso.

So far, I'm really enjoying the McCafe coffee.  I like the taste and it's very affordable.

New jeepney fare starts today

Hey commuters in the Metro! This is really bad news to all PUJ passengers, but good news to all PUJ drivers.. There will be additional P0.50 cents to the minimum jeepney fares. It ‘s actually started today, June 14, 2014. This additional fare is now implemented to all jeepneys in Metro Manila.

According to news, the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) noted that the distribution of fare matrices to jeepney groups were already made yesterday.It is also noted that only jeepneys within Metro Manila, Region 3 and Region 4 areas are given the new fare matrix with an additional P0.50. The decision of the LTFRB was released on May 30, 2014 which take effect today, June 14, 2014.

To all those who have talent in singing, here’s your choice to showcase your beautiful voice as the Voice of the Philippines has set  set an audition date in Manila for its upcoming second season.

ABS-CBN program announced on its official social media accounts that it will hold auditions at Market! Market! mall in Taguig on June 8, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

While reading news online, I saw an article about stereotyping Filipinos as domesic helper in a primary school textbook in Hong Kong.

The term "domestic helper" is used as a description for Pinoys. The page entitled racial harmony that stereotypes different nationalities. It states that the correct answer for “I am a domestic helper in Hong Kong” is Filipino. Check the photo form hongwrong.com below:

One Direction to hold concert in Manila

Finally, a lot of JUAN DIRECTIONER'S dreams will come true. The English-Irish band composed of Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson, which is popularly known as One Direction, is set to hold a big concert in Manila in 2015.

One Direction will have a concert in the Philippines as part their "On the Road Again Tour", happening 2015 on March 21, 2015 at the SM Mall of Asia Concert Grounds.

Ticket prices are ranging from P1,150 (bronze) to P17,950 (VIP). There will be a priority selling event where you can purchase tickets in advance. If you buy the VIP/Hot Ticket Package, it includes a ticket, a 1D wristwatch with pouch, a laminate card, and a lanyard. Just a reminder, this event is good for the first 15,000 customers arriving at the venue. Tickets can be purchased from 8 am to 2 pm.
