Travel Tip: How To Get To Kwebang Lampas/Puting Buhangin

Kwebang LampasPuting Buhangin is located in the town of Pagbilao in Quezon province. This spot features white sands, crystal-clear water and surrounded by different faunas. Travel time to this beautiful place will be around 5-6 hours from Manila. You can take either public transportation or your own cars.


How to go to Kwebang Lampas and Puting Buhangin

From Manila,  take a bus (Jac Liner)  going to Lucena City. The bus station is located in Kamias (Cubao), Quezon City and Buendia-Taft, in Pasay, which provide trips every hour. Travel time will be around 4 hours.

Ask the conductor of the bus to drop you off at the Lucena Central Terminal or intersection where jeepneys pass by going to Pagbilao. The bus fare is around P 230.

Take a jeepney  with a signboard Pagbilao. If you want to have side trip before going to Kwebang Lampas and Puting Buhangin, you can ask the driver to drop you off in St. Catherine of Alexandria Parish Church also known as Pagbilao Church, which 5-10 mins walk to jeep terminal going to Barangay Isla Polo. The jeepney fare going to Isla Polo is P37.

From Isla Polo, travel with tricycle going to the jump off point of the island.  Tricycle fare will be around 100-150 (negotiate with the driver). From the jump off,  you need to  cross the river  by the boat around 3-5 mins. Then you need to walk inside the mini forest around 5-10 mins walk. If it's not high tide, you can cross the sea.

  • Walking in the beach
  • Star Gazing at night
If you' re planning to stay overnight in the island, bring your own tent as well with lots of food and water. Goodies in this place is a bit pricey. There are available cottages that you can rent which around P300-500.

If you have sensitive skin, please bring sunblock and mosquito repellants. Be alert as well with the jellyfish while swimming. There are some tourists already stung by these jellyfish floating in the sea. Don't be afraid with the jellyfish, just take extra careful to avoid injury or so whatever.
