Hey commuters in the Metro! This is really bad news to all PUJ passengers, but good news to all PUJ drivers.. There will be additional P0.50 cents to the minimum jeepney fares. It ‘s actually started today, June 14, 2014. This additional fare is now implemented to all jeepneys in Metro Manila.
According to news, the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) noted that the distribution of fare matrices to jeepney groups were already made yesterday.It is also noted that only jeepneys within Metro Manila, Region 3 and Region 4 areas are given the new fare matrix with an additional P0.50. The decision of the LTFRB was released on May 30, 2014 which take effect today, June 14, 2014.
