Lyca Gairanod, Mommy Dionisia sing Wrecking Ball together

The Voice Kids Philippines ultimate champion Lyca Gairanod met Mommy Dionisia Pacquiao, the mother of the country’s boxing icon, Manny Pacquiao last Saturday. They showcased a duet of the famous song “Wrecking Ball,” to entertain the crowd.

If you still remember on one of the episodes of Gandang Gabi Vice, Mommy D sang her own version of Miley Cyrus' Wrecking Ball, which became viral since it was posted on YouTube of this year. On the other hand, Lyca Gairanod  spoofed Mommy D’s version of the Wrecking Ball during her interview with comedian Vice Ganda on the same show.

Lyca Gairanod is “The Voice Kids” PH Grand Winner

It’s not a surprise that the winner of the “The Voice Kids” Philippines is Lyca Gairanod. She was proclaimed the first-ever grand champion  the grand finals night held on Sunday, July 27, 2014 at the Resorts World Manila, Newport City, Pasay City.

The 9 year old kid from Cavite sang sang “Basang-basa sa Ulan” together with Aegis band on the celebrity round. 

The Little Superstar” got the highest number of votes bested with other  “The Voice Kids PH” contenders namely Darlene Vibares, Darren Espanto and Juan Karlos Labajo.

Lyca received P1 million cash, house and lot, a home appliance showcase, P1 million worth of trust fund, a musical instrument showcase, and a one-year recording contract from MCA Universal.

The grand finals night was hosted by Luis Manzano and Alex Gonzaga. The event was joined by  joined by  country's top artists Martin Nievera, Lani Misalucha, Aegis and Gary Valenciano.
