What is U-HOP?

Aside from Grab Taxi and Uber, a new app based transport service that was recently launched in the country the U-HOP.

U-HOP is an app-based mass transport system that used vehicles (shuttle or van) to transport passengers form one place to another. The new service use an application to locate U-HOP vehicles that  will bring commuters to a specific destination.

The newest transport service is different from Grab Taxi and Uber. Unlike the other two app-based car services, U-HOP will bring 8 or more passengers  (depends on the capacity of the vehicle) to particular destination. It's just like when you take UV Express at the terminals. The advantage of it is you don't need to go to the terminal and have to wait for long lines. The vehicle will go directly to your home, school or office to pick you up.

There's a verification process before you can ride in U-HOP vehicle. You need to sign up a form and submit requirements like valid ID.  The company also screen their partner drivers to ensure the safety of the each passengers. 

Currently, U-HOP can only accommodate passengers living in Metro Manila, Bulacan, Rizal, Laguna and Metro Cebu. More service areas to open every month.
