Are you ready for the Kadawayan Festival 2015? I know some of you already booked for the air fare promo that was offered by the local airlines. For sure, you're all excited to witness the colorful parade in the city of Davao.

Kadayawan Festival is celebrated every third week of August. This much awaited celebration in Davao city is to give thanks for the bounties of harvest, gifts of nature, serenity of living, among others. The 30th Kadayawan Celebration is scheduled from August 17 to 23, 2015.
The name of the festival was derived from the friendly greeting "Madayaw", from the Dabawenyo word "dayaw", meaning good, valuable, superior or beautiful.
The festival will feature spectacular floral floats, street-dancing competitions and exhibits that showcases Davao's tourism products and services.
Line up of events include Kadayawan sa Kadalanan, Yugyugan sa Kadayawan Pamulak, Tunog Mindanaw, Sayaw Mindanaw, and Hulagway sa Kadayawan. There will also be Kadayawan sa Lumadnong Katilingban, which includes Hiyas sa Kadayawan, Lumadnong Dula, , Panagtagbo, Lumadnong Bantawan, and Davao River Festival .
