DLSU Lady Spikers win the 79th UAAP Women's Volleyball

DLSU Lady Spikers won against Ateneo Lady Eagles in Game 2 of the 79th UAAP women’s volleyball best-of-three Finals series held on Saturday, May 6 at the Big Dome.


La Salle Lady Spikers finished the final game with the score 19-25, 25-14, 18-25, 25-18,15-10.

Desiree Cheng hailed as MVP in this year's season finals while Tin Tiamzon was the player of the game.

Meanwhile, Kim Fajardo, setter of DLSU Lady Spikers, graduated in UAAP while Jia Morado, setter of Ateneo Lady Eagles, announced she won't be joining the season 80.

Jia Morado is signing off from UAAP

Jia Morado recently announced she won’t be returning for Ateneo Lady Eagles in Season 80.


The number 12 and setter of the Ateneo Lady Eagles made her announcement through her community speech after a thanksgiving mass

at the Church of the Gesu in Ateneo.
“It’s always been my dream to play for Ateneo,” shared Morado during her speech on Saturday, May 6. “I got my dream course and school. It has been an honor to play for the Blue and White.”

“But after careful thinking… I’m graduating from the Ateneo, but I have also decided to graduate from the team as well.”

“I want to move on to a new chapter in my life. It won't be easy to understand but it's been something I've been thinking about."

A lot of netizens especially Ateneo Lady Eagles fans reacted on Morado's announcement. Her team also tried to convince her to play on the next season.

Meanwhile, Kim Fajardo, setter of La Salle Lady Spikers, graduated in UAAP and hailed as the best setter in this year's season.
